How We Review

Who writes the guides?

The Internet Service Review team. We publish under a team byline rather than individual names.

Do you use AI?

Yes. AI tools research topics and write our drafts. An automated fact-check then compares each specific figure, date and rule with official and primary sources, and drafts that don’t pass aren’t published. Articles aren’t individually reviewed by a person before they go live, which is why we welcome corrections. We take responsibility for what we publish.

Where do your facts come from?

Our guides are checked against the Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Communications Commission, state consumer protection laws such as California’s automatic renewal law, and companies’ own published policies.

Have you tried the things you write about?

Not unless an article says so. Our guides are research-based, and we don’t present research as first-hand experience.

Does anyone pay for coverage?

No. We don’t take payment for articles, mentions or rankings. Our disclosure has the details.

How do you keep articles up to date?

We correct articles when we learn that rules or figures have changed. For anything time-sensitive, check the official source too.

What if I find a mistake?

Email brandon [at] internetservicereview.com with the page address and the problem. We check every report and correct errors as soon as we’ve confirmed them.
